Our Commitment to Innovation
At Hereworks, innovation is on the agenda at every internal meeting. We never stop talking about innovation.
The Hereworks ‘Innovation Committee’ meets weekly to discuss the challenges in processes, efficiencies, operations and the team collaborate to present potential solutions to the committee.
Innovation is defined as;
“The process of translating an idea or invention into a good or service that creates value or for which customers will pay. In business, innovation often results when ideas are applied by the company in order to further satisfy the needs and expectations of the client.”
At Hereworks, we are constantly striving to exceed our clients’ expectations with new technologies and solutions. Just one example of this is the digital transformation we installed in Dublin City University, it included touch screen panels on the lecture podiums. A visually impaired lecturer in DCU was unable to use the touchscreen panels.
The Hereworks team came up with the innovative solution where the user could swipe the panel left or right and make commands based on onboard voice recognition feedback from the system.
We are constantly staying up-to-speed with the latest digital communications, audio visual and collaboration technologies being developed by our partners such as Microsoft, Cisco and Panasonic. Knowing what technologies are available means that we are always informed about what is possible in terms of providing innovative solutions to our clients.
Innovation is one of our core values, therefore we make a point of instilling a culture of innovation into everything we do, and we reward our team for being innovative. No matter what the challenge our answer is always ‘Yes.’
R&D Time
Hereworks constantly strives to improve what we do to bring the most value to our clients that we can. That’s why we have dedicated specific measures to give our team the freedom to work on research and development projects to achieve just that.
Everyone on the Hereworks team is allocated one day per month to work on their own project, and encouraged to share what they’ve learned with the team. This enables the entire team to gain unique insights and new ways of thinking. Then they are encouraged to share what they have learned with the team so that we can gain unique insights and new ways of thinking.
