Hereworks’ very own SaaS solution for Smart Buildings is called Hereworks Happy™. This is a holistic platform that puts the occupant of a commercial building first. The platform ensures the occupant experience in the commercial property is going to be optimal, using the latest technology and is all centred around our unique Hereworks Happy™ Score. The Hereworks Happy™ Score is a unique percentage score for a building. The goal is to achieve 100% happiness for the building, to create a comfortable, productive, warm, engaged, secure and healthy workspace. This ensures the wellbeing of occupants while operating at maximum efficiency and minimum carbon emissions.

The Hereworks Happy platform is built on a Serverless AWS architecture. It consists of a Database Backend, two mobile apps and a Web App/Insights Platform. All front-end applications are React Native.

What's the opportunity? (Role)

With over 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, you’ll need to quickly adapt and maintain smooth operations while covering maternity leave. You’ll oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, with a strong emphasis on product strategy and team leadership. This role demands the ability to swiftly take charge, blending strategic thinking, analytical skills, and people management expertise to ensure product success in a competitive market.

What will you be doing? (Responsibilities)

Product Development & Management:
     – Own the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including feature prioritisation, specification writing, and backlog management.
     – Work closely with the engineering team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
     – Manage the product backlog, ensuring that the team is working on the highest-priority items.
     – Oversee the execution of product features and ensure they align with user needs and business goals.

People Management:
     – Execute existing strategy and ensure the product development team runs smoothly during maternity cover.
     – Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support) to ensure successful product development and launch.
     – Set clear objectives for product initiatives and track performance against them.

User Research & Insights:
     – Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
     – Lead user research initiatives to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviour deeply.
     – Leverage existing research to execute product strategy and development.
     – Continuously collect feedback post-launch to iterate and improve product features.
     – Collaborate with product design on user testing, recruit participants and drive initiatives to ensure that features are properly tested and validated ahead of development when needed.

Stakeholder Management:
     – Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related matters, effectively communicating product vision, strategy, and status to stakeholders.
     – Conduct product demos when needed.
     – Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are met.
     – Present product updates and strategic plans to senior leadership.

What do you need? (Requirements)

  • 5+ years experience in product management, with a proven track record of shipping impactful products
  • Experience collaborating with multiple teams and juggling several projects at once
  • A strong track record of effectively collaborating with design and are passionate about the end-user experience
  • Demonstrable experience in people management and team leadership
  • You're entrepreneurial; you don't need direction; you're self-driven
  • You're organised, not ad hoc
  • You're able to easily switch between thinking creatively and analytically
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Product Design/Research or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
  • Strong understanding of product management principles, including product lifecycle management, user research, and agile methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven experience in developing and executing product strategies that drive business results
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among stakeholders
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, etc.), Office 365 etc

Practicalities

Salary: DOE Ranging from per annum

Location: Head Office (Ashbourne), Hybrid Working and fully remote options may be considered
