In 2016, Hereworks won the tender to upgrade 190 classrooms at Dublin City University. These digital learning upgrades allowed them to update their Digital Technology Infrastructure to facilitate their progression to a more collaborative inclusive learning environment. With this in mind, we made changes that would revolutionise how lecturers taught lessons.
We introduced a digital platform with the same user interface in every classroom on campus. Due to this, any lecturer can teach in any classroom in any building on the campus. All it takes is a single click of a button.
Why Hereworks Were Chosen
DCU chose Hereworks as its technology partner because of our detailed design, our highly experienced team, and our bespoke Assure+ maintenance package. Our 5-year ongoing support agreement includes a 2-hour response time. What's more, our technicians can remotely oversee the whole estate by VPN, giving students no excuses to miss lectures!
This is a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with DCU.
Our digital learning upgrades for the client involved the integration of a whole new array of intuitive Communication and Collaboration technologies. This includes AV equipment in lecture theatres, control panels, and digital signage.
As a result, teaching has become more interactive in the lecture hall. Furthermore, it has allowed for a more Modern Communication network and a hands-on maintenance contract to keep everything running smoothly.
