The hard and the soft of Zoom meetings
Do you struggle with feeling ‘connected’ on conference calls or webinars?
The new world order requires constant, relentless connectedness, without being physically together. Now more than ever organisations are operating in situations of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity – VUCA environments. We are in the 4th industrial revolution, technology is ubiquitous, and yet, to mitigate the VUCA nature of our environment, soft skills have to become hard core.
What are soft skills anyway?
Soft skills are a fine balance between science and art, they’re the non-technical skills that relate to how you work. They include how you interact with colleagues, how you solve problems, and how you manage your work. They include Time Management, Networking, Teamwork, Creative thinking and Conflict Resolution. Soft skills are a competence play, a skill, and the good news is we can make ourselves better at them.
